Thank you for considering a visit to our store in Osaka!
We have listed some frequently asked questions on this page.

Q1. What kind of payment methods do you offer?

We take cash only. We do not take credit cards.
There are stores with ATMs and currency exchange machines in the area but we
recommend preparing beforehand.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Q2. Does your store provide tax-free shopping for tourists?

No, tax exemption is not available at Sasabe Gazai.

Q3. Where is the nearest station to your store?

Nippombashi Station (Osaka Metro/Kintetsu) is the closest.
After a 2-3 minute walk north from Exit6, take a right turn before the bridge. Do not cross
the bridge.
It is also about a 10 to 20 minute walk to our store from Namba and Shinsaibashi station.

Q4. Do you ship overseas?

We only ship within Japan.
(1500yen per delivery. 800yen for smaller packages)
There are additional fees when shipping to Hokkaido or Okinawa.

Q5. Are all items listed on your website available at your store in Osaka?

Most items are available but not everything (such as expensive sets for example.)
If there are any items you are considering buying during your visit,
please contact us via our contact form or email.

Q6. I'm visiting your store on [date], can you reserve [name of item] for me?

Yes, but please keep note that we cannot reserve too many items.
Please keep the list minimal.
Either place an order from our website or contact us via mailing form or email.
Please make sure to include the following
1. Your name
2. The date you are planning to visit our store
2. The phrase "取り置き希望。" in the email subject if possible.

Q7. There is an item I want to buy in Japan that is not listed on your website. Can I request a back-order?

If it is an item from a brand we carry such as Holbein, Turner, Kusakabe,
we may be able to back-order it for you. Contact us via our mailing form or email.

*If it is an expensive item or a large list of items, we may request a payment beforehand.
*Some items require us to order in multiple quantities. For example, some paints and
brushes can only be ordered in quantities of 3 or 6.

*Nicker paints are very hard to find in Osaka and the Kansai region in general. If you are
planning a visit to Tokyo or the Kanto area, we recommend searching for them there first.

Q8. Are there boxes I can use to pack my purchased items?

We can only provide minimal packaging. Metal paint tubes will be put in reused boxes and
glass bottles will be lightly protected with bubblewrap.

Q9.Can I carry [name of item] on the plane?

We are not sure since rules vary between airlines.
Please contact your carrier. We cannot take any responsibility if any items are confisticated
at the airport.
